Our Congregation is a vibrant and vital community of faith joyfully affirming and celebrating the availability of God’s grace to all persons. We celebrate the gift of God’s grace in our lives so that together we can be God’s instrument of blessing to the world. The presence of this building is a vital tool as well as a visible symbol that we are called to faithful ministry in this time and place. “O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own.” These words from I Chronicles 29:16 remind us that God has given us this building as a resource for ministry. God expects us to celebrate the presence of our building on its glorious site and to be faithful and responsible stewards of this valuable resource.

God is calling us to fulfill our challenging vocation to reflect creatively and energetically the Good News of God’s love and transforming power by our presence and participation in the East End and beyond. As we enter this Find Us Faithful journey, I commend the Congregation for taking this bold step that affirms our hope-empowered commitment to God for today and tomorrow.

It is a joy that even in these early stages of our Find Us Faithful stewardship ministry many of you have firmly indicated your desire to give generously and sacrificially. Recognizing that God’s mission needs a church, once again we each squarely embrace the question of how we are called to give God’s mission priority in our lives. It is a joy to know that many of you recognize that this challenge is an opportunity to grow deeper in our relationship with Christ.

I am confident that God will Find Us Faithful. I hope that you will share that affirmation with me and continue walking with me on this journey.
